On this stall we present a selection of ladies’ bags and wallets from three Kyoto companies: Ritofu, Tatsumura Textile and KYO-TO-TO.
Ritofu produces a range of accessories using the traditional kyo-yuzen silk dyeing technique. This method of handpainting kimono fabric originated in Kyoto in the 17th century and is renowned for its refinement. The elegant Ritofu clutch bags listed below were all made by the master textile artist Tomoko Fujii of the Tomohiro Senko atelier.

Tatsumura Textile was founded in 1894 and is considered a world leader in silk brocades. The bags listed below were all made with the Nishiki weaving technique, a method born in Kyoto that is considered the pinacle of silk-weaving. Tastumura Textile is frequently involved in the restoration of historic Chinese and Japanese textiles and tapestries, and many of their original designs are inspired by this deep knowledge of traditional craftsmanship.
KYO-TO-TO is a family-business with over 30 years of experience in hand-crafted embroidery. The brand is known for its innovative and playful style, which blends respect for traditional techniques with whimsical creativity.
