Fleur de Farine

July 4, 2009 by Michael Lambe Leave a Comment

Today I bought my lunch at the bakery Fleur de Farine. This tiny little store sells french style loaves in a variety of shapes and sizes. Apparently, they also sell a British style loaf but it is always sold out when I go there.

That loaf set me back 315 yen. I stocked up on sandwiches today. This roll contains pumpkin croquette (241 yen).

And here is the vegetable sandwich (231 yen – also contains cheese!).

And here we have a croissant with thinly sliced potato salad with cheese (231 yen – also contains minute fragments of bacon!)

This store is also very popular for it’s pastries. Here we have a cherry Danish (168 yen).

And here we have a pear (168 yen).

I’m saving those two for my breakfast… Fleur de Farine (which sounds very elegant in French but very silly in English) is located on the east side of Higashinotoin, just a hop skip and a jump south of Sanjo. Here is a MAP.
